Hierarchy
The order values actually fall into when two of them cannot both be honoured.
Shadow value
An unwritten rule that settles the matter when official values collide.
Credibility gap
The distance between the locked leadership guess and the measured hierarchy.
Strength ratio
How often one value beats another in direct choices. 51 per cent and 90 per cent are not the same thing.
Breaking point
The point where the hierarchy flips because pressure rises — time, money or visibility.
Lens
The angle a dilemma is asked from: what I do, what one ought to do, what most people do.
Threshold
The minimum number of responses before anything may be shown. Here, five.
Circular triad
A beats B, B beats C, C beats A. A sign that the hierarchy is unsettled in that area.
