Credibility gap

The distance between the value hierarchy leadership expects and the one employees describe.

The gap can only be measured if leadership's guess is locked before the result is opened. Otherwise expectation is unconsciously rewritten to match the outcome. The gap is not in itself a problem — the problem is a gap leadership does not know exists.
